HCM City Fisheries Development Corporation (FIDECO) was established in 1989 under the Decision 144/QĐ-UB on March 31st, 1989 of the HCM City People’s Committee. Later on, the corporation had become more diverse and changed its name to Foreign Trade Development and Investment Corporation under the Decision 693/QĐ-UB on Dec 3rd, 1991 of the HCM City People’s Committee. Being approved by the HCM City People’s Committee on Dec 23rd, 1993, the company changed into the joint stock company with the same name as FIDECO, operating under the company's law.
Establishment License No.1489/GP-UB issued by the HCM City People’s Committee on Dec 23rd, 1993.
Business Registration Certificate No.059081 at Department of Planning and Investment of HCMC on Dec 27th, 1993.
Import-Export License No.4.07.2.161/GP issued by the Ministry of Trade on Mar 23rd 1994.
At the end of 2005 FIDECO's total property is up to 40 million USD.
